Religion and God with the Oshikoya’s

Religion is a template people create to get to the God side, it is a starting point whereby we transition into having a relationship with God. Religion gives us a basis to search and find God, it is a defined path to God.
Most times we get carried away with being religious by carrying out certain acts like going to church, going for all the weekly programs, attending every meeting and being a member of every group in church, we get too busy doing the physical things in the house of God and actually forget to build a relationship with God. Religion is supposed to be more like a foundation to knowing God. Most of us miss the relationship with the wrong structure of religion because religion might not lead us to Christ, it would possibly lead us to what we believe is God or what God ought to be not what he really is. Pastors are available to preach and teach the word of God but we do not need to wait for a Pastor’s instruction all the time to function, application of the word of God in your life is the start of a relationship with God, salvation has brought about free access to God, we have the scriptures that are apt to every situation so why not develop and maintain that one on one conversation with God.
Let us look at religion as a car which is the structure that would get you to your final destination which is God but the car in itself would not get you there unless you drive it by applying yourself to the car in other to get to your destination. The ultimate aim at the end of the day is to find, know and have a personal relationship with God.
